Who to contact about permanent foundation for mobile home?
Manufactured Homes February 5th, 2010I live in a mobile home which is quite large and would like to consider putting it on permanent foundation. Right now it has a skirting around it. What kind of company would I contact and what usually are the price ranges? I live in Augusta, GA if this helps. Thank you in advance.

My first contact would be the manufacturer. If you mean a foundaion with a basement, your home may not have the proper construction to allow this.
The only person you would need to contact for a "slab" would be a concrete contractor, assuming the laws in your area allow this.
If you want a slab, you are still going to have to have some type of skirting.

I think you should find out about the municipal codes for your municipality. I suggest http://www.augustaga.gov/departments/clerk_comm/home.asp for starters. Hopefully they can link you to lawyers, resources, homeowners etc who have done this before you

for a full basement under a mobile home, contact a masonry contractor…
