A modular home will probably run you a bit more, and you may need a crawl space/foundation or piers, whereas a manufactured home won’t. However, in the long run, a modular home will give you a better value return on your dollar, will holder up longer, and will be easier to finance (as well as a better insurance rate). A modular home will also generally give you more flexibility for a floor plan.
Its a LONG post, lol, but well worth the read. It lists some specific things to look for when shopping for any manufactured or modular home. Take time to read it, and you’ll become the bane of many salesmen, lol, because they won’t be able to push low quality off on you.

Don’t go with a manufactered home. They cut so many corners, and you will have alot less valve in your home.
