I think they are great! I listen to a radio guy, a consumer advocate, Clark Howard. He has done some research on this and has tips for you. It is not a trailer and is not mobile. It is just that they build it in pieces in the factory then bring it to the foundation and hammer it down( I simplify,lol).

Manufactured housing…..is a ‘fancy’ name for a mobile home!!
AKA-’trailer’.
They depreciate just like a car.
When it’s paid for you get a title…like a car.
