What do my parents have to do to transfer title of their mobile home to me?
Manufactured Homes November 24th, 2009We live in San Jose, California. My parents bought a mobile home over 10 years ago, and they paid it off in cash. Now, my parents want to transfer the title of the mobile home to me (I’m 22 and work full time). Can someone please let me know the process I have to go through to get the mobile home title transfer over to my name, without much tax consequences and paperwork? My parents and I are on excellent terms. Thanks!

The DMV has the appropriate forms.
Make sure you also register where the home is parked, you will need to have the lease changed as well.
