What are some ways to rennovate a park model mobile home?
Manufactured Homes November 20th, 2009I just moved into a mobile home (a park model), and it includes a Florida room. What are some ideas for improving the appearance of the place and for improving the comfort of living here? I’m looking for interesting and creative ideas that are also practical. It’d be nice to have something unique.

Hi, try this. Go into Google or Yahoo image search. Key in mobile home decorating or whatever you think best describes the item you’re looking for. Voila, you now have thousands of photographs to choose from. Most images link to a website for more information. If you can’t find anything this way go to glidden.com. You can select from any color on their color chart and actually see a room painted in that color. It’s good for color coordination. I use it quite often!

Think first at the ambiance as a whole.First of all you need a good sound system with music you and your guests love, also the light should put in evidence the best parts,to be not to bright and not to soft, also the floor could have a nice carpet in colors full of life, and if want some really stylish and cozy a fireplace would be real wonderful with a picture of a gorgeous redhead a top of it or a flat stereo TV.All over the walls very comfortable couches. Also a nice bar,and if you have an extra place a jacuzzi would be perfect. You’ll feel like a king inside there and the most beautiful and charming women shall visit you.Oh God,I already envy you in the good way. Most of luck and best of my wishes.

Looking online at HGTV and sites like that keyword "small spaces" are very helpful. Adding color"s" to walls always livens things up. Putting in pergo or hard wood flooring gives it a fresh look. Drywall is cheap, if you can build in shelving, or an entertainment center with drywall and paint it a warm color, it is easier to custom make it fit a room, instead of searching for something to fit. More cost effective too.
In the Florida room, lots of plants, all sizes. Pier one has great furniture for those rooms. I am assuming it is a smaller place since it is a park model, LESS is more. Bigger objects, less of them make a statement. Updating blinds, plumbing and lighting fixtures will finish it off. Out with the old, in with the new! Warm colors, fresh paint, candles and through pillows, very comfy! Watch the hgtv channels when you can, great ideas!
