What are some methods to increasing water pressure in a mobile home?
Manufactured Homes December 29th, 2009My boyfriend and I just bought a 00 water softener and we can’t even use it!!! Supposedly we have low water pressure and that is why the softener won’t work. How do we increase the water pressure in our mobile home, to ensure that the softener will run efficiently?

Really it depends on your source, I am assuming its a well? Check that the pump is operating properly and that the pressure switch is set high enough. If its an old system and you have no expansion tank have one installed. Or install a larger expansion tank.
Also check and see if the bladder to your expansion tank is working, they sometimes get a leak.

there is a water pressure regulator hooked up close to the main supply shut off, take a flat tipped screwdriver and turn to the right easily, just a little at a time, this should fix your problem. also make sure the shut off valve is completely open…
