Modular Home Questions September 5th, 2009I was trying to play a game bu then it gave a generic error.
this is what it said at the bottom of the dxdiag "display" tab page: The system is using the generic video driver. Please install video driver provided by the hardware manufacturer.
Also, i understand that i need to download the software that was supposed to come with my video card, but i do not know wat type of video card i have, how do i check?
these are my specs:
Operating system: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600)
System Manufacturer: P4M80P (I have no idea what this is, isn’t this supposed to say something else?)
System Model: AWRDACPI (and this one as well???)
BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
Processor: Intel (R) Pentium (R) D CPU 2.80GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 960MB RAM
Page File: 1222MB used, 1091MB available
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
please help me with this i really need to fix my computer!!!

Ok. You just need to figure out what VGA card (graphic card) you have and download the latest drivers for it from the brand’s web page. To check what VGA you have right click on My PC->Properties->Hardware->Device manager->Display adapter
The brand and model should appear there. If it’s something generic (not nVidia or ATI) then you have an integrated graphics card which won’t allow you to play that game or is not properly configured (reinstall driver).
