The expiration date of the mobile home park where I live?
Manufactured Homes June 8th, 2010Is there a way I can find out when the lease ends or expires on the property that is the mobile home park where I live. The property management company has been rent gouging us for several years now and we’re curious if they’re just trying to get all the money out of us before they lose their lease.

No, the lease is not public information.
They are not going to lose it though. The landlord owner is required by law to renew the lease, he is not allowed to make hundreds of families homeless regardless of how much the land is now worth.

Are you sure your facts are straight? The property is usually owned privately or through a corporation. A property management company is somebody hired to manage property…
In many states and cities taxes go up 1-2 percent a year. Insurance,
garbage and water services go up periodically, include services such as landscaping, repairs, these things and sometimes more are bundled into the price of your rent, which makes the rent go up as much as 7% yearly just to cover expenses. You are the benefactor of these things in your day to day living so think twice before knee jerk thinking you are being ‘gouged’. Remember- you can always leave. Buy property to place your mobile home on. You may find it’s cheaper to stay where you are.
