Posted by Modular Homes on November 10th, 2010

I just got a new computer 2-3 months ago, now i have all games and programs installed and even if i run a very low game with low graphics like runescape or minecraft then it starts beeping the computer case not the speakers, if i don’t have any browsers/programs running then the CPU number is around 30 and is working fine, but if it goes up to 60 it starts beeping but computer still runs fine, nothing goes slower, and the beeping starts to frustate everybody already and its very annoying is there a way to disable it somehow in BIOS or anywhere? It runs everything fine no lag nothing

I’m gonna try to increase the temp, i don’t know if i can find it but im going to give it a try
I couldn’t find where can i change the temperatue to 75, i didn’t see any number "60" either in BIOS, there was only temperatue warning, something like that but they all were disabled already

My PC is running very hot. Suggestions?

Posted by Modular Homes on September 13th, 2009

My PC is overclocked a fair amount higher than the way it started out and since it requires so much power and it’s wintertime (where the heat is on all day) it has been running very hot recently. I checked with Speedfan and it said it was in the high 90’s while playing Left 4 Dead maxed out. It was actually reverting the overclock multiplier back to 6x from 9x to try and cool it down (and changing the multiplier without changing the Mhz value causes a pretty dramatic loss in performance). I recently opened a window to let the frigid winter air in, which I obviously would prefer not to do, but it seems like the only option. Now it’s at about a steady 72-73 while I’m just on the internet and stuff and the high 80’s up to about 92 while playing intensive games. Am I going on a fast track to ruining my PC like this? Do you have any suggestions for me (preferably that don’t include buying anything expensive)? I would prefer not to scale back my OC if I can help it, as I want to play Fallout 3 and Mirror’s Edge at these settings (once you go max you can’t go back). If someone could help me I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

My dxdiag (sorry about the long post):
Also I have an Antec 900 case with the top front small fan seemingly broken.

Well I overclocked the Quad Core because every game (even Crysis) except for Left 4 Dead I play is unable to take advantage of multiple cores, so it’s as if I had one 2.4 Ghz core instead an added up 9.6 Ghz one. :/

Walkthrough for Overclocking my CPU?

Posted by Modular Homes on September 11th, 2009

Hi. I want to overclock my CPU from 2.4 Quad to something higher (preferably in the 3’s). I don’t really know that much about doing this stuff in the BIOS though or any problems that can possibly arise while doing it that might need on-the-fly fixing. Can someone give me a walkthrough for overclocking my CPU with a list of things that may go wrong while doing it and how to fix them? I’ll post specs underneath this.
