We are on a tight budget. We would like the rent/mortgage/payment on the home to be 700 dollars or less per month. For right now, it seems that they best option, from a financial standpoint, would be to buy a mobile home. What are the pros and cons of doing this?
Thanks. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I’m ready to move out of my parents house, and I got money saved but I’m not sure if I want to buy a mobile home or rent an apartment. What are the pros and cons of both? I’m a single mom and I’m thinking the little lot with the mobile home at least my kid can play outside, on the other hand dont houses need more maintenance? Thanks.
I never really thought about Condos…. am I responsible for maintenance on a condo or no?

I am ready to plunge into the real estate market, and was wondering what the pros and cons of buying a manufactured home rather than a condo or townhome would be. Here in CA, a typical 1300 sq ft three bed/two bath mobile home in my area goes for about 0k – roughly half the price of a 0k 600 sq ft one bed/one bath condo. I realize that with mobile homes, one has to pay rent on the space- but condos and townhomes pay similarly priced HOA dues every month. I am a single guy in my early 40s. Any advice would be greatly appreciated- thanks!

Hello! I am wondering about log homes. We may be moving soon, and I thought it would be cool if we got a log home. The place where we may get it makes modular log homes, and transports them to the area where you want it, and basically installs it there. I am wondering though if it has the same advantages and disadvantages to owning a regular log home, though. So what I need the answer to is: Does owning modular log homes have the same pros and cons of owning a regular log home? Please help me ASAP!

My husband and I are considering buying a modular home (built from stick in the factory) someday. The whole idea sounds like a steal ie 2000 sq ft house for under 100K. Is there anyone out there who has bought a house like this? What are the pros and cons? It sounds too good to be true.

I am looking into my option for home purchasing. I seem to be stuck between going for an existing home, or buying land and then putting a modular home on it. I can’t seem to find prices for these homes without going to talk to the people who build them, and right now I am still looking. Some people have told me the cost difference is smaller than I think. I would appreciated it if someone could let me know of their personal experience with modular homes, or let me know which you think is the better idea, pros and cons, etc. I am located in South Florida. Thank you for your time and answers!
