I need to reinsulate under my mobile home but have come up with many different ways of doing it. One of the ideas I have is to take foam board 1 or 2 inch thick foam board and rip it to fit in between the joists and glue it to the subfloor then strap it. I have heard though that it is flammable and cannot be exposed. It would be good though because it is much easier to work with then fiberglass. and no animals can get into it. Does anyone have any better solutions

I bought a mobile home that did not have a fernace or heat pump but I bought an electric fernace and heat pump for the trailer, and I’m just wondering about how much I’m looking at to have someone come and install it.

I bought a 16 x 80 trailer in the beginning of June. The home that was initially old to me had already been purchased. The mobile home company sold me another home that needed a ton of repairs. I was promised the repairs would be done in a timely manner, but I haven’t seen or heard from anyone. One of the problems was the house sweating, and now I believe mold is starting to develop. What should I do? Can I seek legal council for this situation, or do I have to just grin and bear it?

Ok so there are free lookups to find the values of cars, but not mobile homes? Im not about to pay someone 100 or more to have it appraised but..if I have to, guess I will. Point being, im trying to purchase a mobile home, its owned outright by my mom, her and her fiance are moving into a house. Its a 1998 Fairmont, 14×80 ft, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, EXCELLENT condition…They are wanting to sell for 13,000 but I want a loan for at least 18,000 so I can do some things to the house, and payoff a signature loan that has an awful interest rate…is this an unreasonable amount? Does anyone know off the top of their head if this type of home has 18, 000 worth of value in it, without looking…Just curious

I’m considering buying a mobile home, with no air. I live in Michigan and must have a/c in the summer. How much roughly do you think it would cost to have it installed? Also, can it be installed if there is no air already? (they have units in the windows which i’m sure is expensive in the summer).

I am trying to sell a trailor and the park owner has a history of turning down minorities. She turned down my buyers because they had too many kids and it is illegal for five kids and two parents to live in a 3 bedroom mobile home. Is this correct or is she just using it as an excuse?

My mom bought me a house, which I am currently renting from her. Anyways me & my boyfriend got into an argument & he punched a huge hole in the wall! I have always lived in houses, so I am unsure how to fix this hole! It’s about the size of a fist. The year of the mobile home is 2007, so it’s fairly new. It’s got the paneling? I think that’s what they call it.. my question, how do I fix it? Helpp!

I am considering buying a mobile home on a rented pad in a park and was wondering how exactly the process works. I know in some states you buy it and get the title transferred in your name at the DMV. I know this isn’t the same in California. Can anyone help?

I want to buy a mobile home that was built in 1984. It is in decent condition. 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms. One room has some damage to the wall and ceiling but nothing too major. This is located in pennsylvania. I see people selling their mobile homes everyday for small cost. The owner of this home wants 00. I want to pay 00. Is this fair?

Well, it’s an old mobile home that was given to me to tear down for scrap. I only have 2 days to do it and was wondering the easiest way to do it. I was thinking of running a winch cable through half of it and winching the walls and roof down on one side and then doing the other half. I’m wondering about the floors and roof though. What would be the easiest way to do that? I’ll have an 8×16 foot trailer so I guess I could cut the floors in small of enough sections to winch onto the trailer?

My dog keeps chewing holes into the skirt of our mobile home. It looks terrible and he is able to get under the trailer. How do I fix the skirt of the trailer? Is there only one kind of material for the skirt of a trailer or is there a kind I can get that he can’t chew through?

I’m installing sinks in my bathroom and kitchen in my single wide mobile home. All of the plumbing is fixed, it has copper running straight to the faucets, no stops or threaded fittings. Can I just cut in the fittings and solder them in and attach normal coupling hoses etc to my new sinks?
It looks like standard size copper pipe coming up from the floor but then it is stepped down to thin copper tubing which then goes straight to the faucet handles.

A neighbor recently sold part of his land and now someone has bought it for there new mobile home which was delivered today. I am worried that this will decrease the property value. There is one other mobile home on the street and the zoning in the area is mixed. All other property has houses averaging 5000 to 0,000.

Bought this mobile home and there is no lights on the ceiling. there is a light switch by the doorway that operates a receptacle and i guess you are suppose to plug in a lamp or lamps for lighting.
I find that a real irritation. Is you home like that and were you dissatisfied? If so, what did you or can you do?

We were approved for a New(used trailer) Home, wih 2.5 acres of land! But we cant Close on this House(its titled as real estate, not a mobile home) until we go under and Seal the cinder blocks which are stacked in Pillar’s(30 to be exact) SO we are looking for the quickest and easiest way to do this so that it will pass a inspection from a engineer ! It is Winter and I am in a park down to two trailers. We we were gonna tough it out till Spring but now the people in the rented trailer are moving out so now it is just us and there is a very good possibility the park will be shut down now. I own my mobile home but I am renting the land. I’m pretty sure due to winter conditions this can’t be moved. What can I do?

I recently bought a mobile home because my husband and I are just tired of renting. We couldn’t afford a house, and this place is a pretty large mobile home (16×80) but it needs a lot of work done. Some electrical, sub flooring, dry wall, etc. I’m just wondering if there are any government programs that can help with the cost of repairs. We live in West Virginia, and this is the first time we’ve bought anything like this. Any information would be great! Thanks!
We didn’t actually go through a Realtor, we just bought it straight out with cash. It’s on land that we are leasing, but will one day own. My family (dad, cousin, brother, husband) are doing most of the repairs, but the materials are getting quite expensive.

We purchased a mobile home roughly a year and a half ago, and are getting tired of having to pay lot rent, which is 5/month. The reason it is so expensive is the rent includes water/sewer/trash. I was wondering what the average cost of a lot would be. I am considering the fact that it depends on location and quality of land. So go from most expensive to cheapest with explanations – if one chooses to answer my question. Thank you so much in advance!
