i have a 14′by65′ mobile home,i put a new roof on it with 3′ installation,double windows,underpend,moisture bearery under it and i still have cold air coming in. what do i need to fine where the air is coming from.i have tried all kind of ways like smoke,candles,ect but no luck.is there a tool you can buy to check air leaks. thank you jimmy.

We bought our mobile home from an idiot (I call him that for many other reasons). It had been vandelized, including electric box, etc. He "fixed" it, but we have problems. Some light fixtures just don’t work. Others seem to burn lightbulbs out more frequently. ie I’ve changed the outside back porch lightbulb 10 times for every 1 time I’ve changed the laundry room bulb. I turn the outside light on once per day, but the laundry room light gets turned on 10 to 20 times per day. And the back porch light burns out more often than the front porch even though the back is used less often and for fewer hours.
Does this indicate a problem, and what? Is it a fire hazard?

Please help? I have a 1999 mobile home and I still owe ,000. I have been trying to sell it with no such luck. I have 10 years to pay for it. How can I get out of this mobile home without ruining my credit? I am about to move out of state. The notes are not assumable. Can I just give it back to the bank? What is the best solution. This is the worst decision I have made in my life.

My friend and I are considering moving into a mobile home instead of an apartment next year. The initial cost of buying and owning the home will be 00 and the lot rent will be 8 a month. Beyond paying that initial amount to own the home and our rent+utilities, what other costs might we run into in buying the home? Do mobile homes have mortgage rates if you own the home? Ok we are going to be adding on a room to my grandmothers mobile home. The room will be where there is already a screened in porch. So the foundation is already there. The room will not be completely enclosed. We only want to have two walls (insulated) for now. No electricity is needed. The third wall will be her mobile home and the forth is her laundry room. How much do you think this would cost as a "Do It Yourself " project? Also, if there are any professional carpenters out there, how much would you charge for this type of job? If no one knows the answer to any of the questions, perhaps you have added a room on to your home in the past. How much did it cost you? Thanks

long wall width: 152 inches = 12.6 feet

smaller wall width: 131 inches = 10.91 feet (including where door will be, there is a storm door right now)

My parents have given me their mobile home- we wrote up a paper stating that it is now mine and both parties signed it, but I don’t know if this will hold up if I try to sell it, etc. The trailer is an ‘89, before they came with titles.

I have come to find out that the mobile home that I am renting-to-own is not actually owned by the company selling it to me. They have never put the home in their name. There is also a possibility that it came from a flooded area. The home has since been repainted and recarpeted, etc. I am awaiting a result in an investigation from DMV fraud investigators but would like to do some investigating myself. How would I tell if it has been flooded? Where would I look?

How can I prove that I owned a mobile home in the past? I got rid of all the tax receipts, homeowner insurance, etc. Can the county court house give me receipts of past taxes? Can the insurance company give me past records? I sold the home three years ago and never thought that I would ever need to keep the paperwork. I need proof for the first time homeowner tax credit.

The far side of my mobile home is very dark, and I have been having trouble with unwanted people coming into my yard. I live alone, so I would like to do some different things to take precautions.
I actually work for the local power company and have a street light installed on my property. It’s on the east side of my home (where I do most of my travelling and entering and exiting). The problem spot is on the west side.

I live on a large farm right now. I recently got a free mobile home and I want to put it on one of the front lots I own. I recently had a site evaluation done for septic. What do I need to have the trailer on the property? Can I have it on there before the septic and well are ready, and just not live there?
Do I need placement or building permits? Both?
I’m trying to get this done asap so I can move out. Also, do I need to have this lot of land seperated from the rest of the farm? I live on about 50 acres.
Most mobile homes don’t go on perm foundations, I’m not putting mine on one either. I’m gonna stay here until I can put a real house on the lot.
