Is it possible to repair a crack in a plastic Garden tub in a mobile home??

Apparently the former owners of our mobile home had a problem with something underneath the trailer (leaky faucets, etc) and tore out the support from underneath the garden tub in the master-bath. I noticed what looked like a hair one day while cleaning the tub and realized that it was not a hair it was a crack!!
The crack is only about an inch long and is still fitted together, so I don’t think it leaks much at all, unless one side or the other gets pushed down. It’s definitely not a gaping hole or anything and we do still use the tub, though we are careful to stay away from the crack, which is in the very bottom, about 4 inches from the drain.
We are planning on going under the trailer this summer to "shore" things back up, but I need to know if there is any way to fix the crack without having to replace the whole tub. There is no way we can afford that..

is it expensive to re insulate the belly of a mobile home?

all the floors in our mobile home are so cold in the winter. i would like to re insulate the belly. is it very expensive? there has been some water damage from leaks and such so i am sure some of it has to be taken out.

How expensive is it to live in a mobile home?

I’m thinking of going from renting a single family home to buying a mobile home (double wide) Do others find they save money on gas/elec? Or since it’s not made as well they spend more on the heating since it just leaks out? Are there any other costs involved with a trailer that are not made immediately known?

How to repair a mobile home roof?

What products are best for repairing leaks around the edge of a mobile home, and to coat the top as well? Apparently there is a small leak that travels down the wall. This was only noticed because of the water stain at the base of the wall after removing the carpet. There is also a small leak in the middle of the bedroom ceiling which is also in need of a product that will do the job.

Manufactured homes? ?

My wife and I went house hunting today.

She really fell in love with a manufactured ranch. It is newer (was built in 2001) but it appears to have major problems. There are stains on the ceiling – it appears that the roof may be leaking. When I went into the basement it was flooded in ankle-deep water.

I spoke to a roofer today who said that a good roof should last 15 to 30 years depending on the quality of the installation and shingles. He also said it isn't uncommon for basements to sometimes have leaks, but that it certainly isn't normal for a basement to have ankle deep water.

Is this typical for manufactured homes, is it common to see half-@ss workmanship like this? Or is this one just a lemon?

PS – Its not a cheap manufactured home either. It is actually more expensive than most of the stick homes we've been looking at.
