does anyone know how much it costs to buy a modular home?

Posted by admin on August 17th, 2009

i have been looking at websites and they only tell you the actual price of the home.

there are other expenses though like transporting the home to the site, utility hook ups, taxes, etc.

i am interested in a 70-75K/1000sq ft home in the country surrounding the Columbus Ohio area. assuming the plot of land costs ,000 does anyone have a rough guess of what the total cost would be?

you really dont have to bother telling me to contact the manufacturer or dealer. thats kind of obvious isnt it? i would appreciate even a guess if it is reasonable and half way educated.

Posted by admin on July 16th, 2009

I am looking to buy a piece of land and then purchase a modular home. Does anyone know any info about them? Like the lowest price and what it includes? What are extra costs besides the land and the home? Are the well and septic hook ups included? Any info I need to know would be excellent!

Better to by used mobile home and land with existing utilities or buy new with land but need to get utilities?

Posted by admin on June 1st, 2009

An older mobile home already has site work, utility and sewer hook-ups, but may need major updating. A new trailer does not need fixing, but the land needs to be purchased, site work needs to be done and utilities need to be hooked up. Really not interested in leasing the land or the mobile home. Looking to do this the most economical and cheapest way possible, money is very tight, and the mobile homes seem very affordable.
