I heard there was a serious penalty if a landlord of a mobile home park (Summit Park, West Hills, CA) does not disclose the fact that they are being sued by the tenants for a number of violations regarding park maintenance and safety. Who would issue such a penalty and what kind of monetary damages are we talking about?

A new law was passed a few years ago. It states that if you own your own mobile home and live in a mobile home park, you can own a dog even though it was a no pet park before. I live in San Diego, Calif. I need to know the facts on this law.

I am moving my kids and myself into my boyfriends mobile home…..There are torn down houses a torn down barn and other unsafe obstacles on the mobile home park property. They charge everyone the same whether there is 1 person in a home or a family of 6. Obviously the 6 people would use way more than 1 person but everyone pays the same. They put in new meters but they don’t read the meters, there isn’t any meter reading on the bill at all. The water bill comes from the mobile home park and not from the water department. Is this legal to do this.

We have a doublewide mobile home currently in a mobile home park. We are trying to sell it, and it won’t sell because it’s not on it’s own land. The mobile home park owner sold me the mobile home and said it has been abandoned for more that a year. The owners skipped out on the rent and never returned. 1. The mobile home is paid in full. I have a note signed from the previous owner saying this.
2. The lien was placed a long time ago because I was purchasing the mobile home in monthly payments from the previous owner.
3. In an apparent oversight the previous owner never removed the lien after full payment and now I can’t locate the previous owner.
4. The mobile home sits on a rented space in a mobile home park.

What can I do to get the lien off if I can’t find him?

We live in a mobile home (trailer house) that was built in 1968. The dimentions are 12X60 with two doors on one side. It already has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Is it possible to add on a room to what is now the back door and since it is indeed a mobile home in a mobile home park(on a rented lot) it cannot be permanent. Is there any way to make it removable if needed, but still viable as a bedroom. How would you go about doing this if it is possible at all? Can you kind of make a lean to maybe?
