I recently bought a mobile home because my husband and I are just tired of renting. We couldn’t afford a house, and this place is a pretty large mobile home (16×80) but it needs a lot of work done. Some electrical, sub flooring, dry wall, etc. I’m just wondering if there are any government programs that can help with the cost of repairs. We live in West Virginia, and this is the first time we’ve bought anything like this. Any information would be great! Thanks!
We didn’t actually go through a Realtor, we just bought it straight out with cash. It’s on land that we are leasing, but will one day own. My family (dad, cousin, brother, husband) are doing most of the repairs, but the materials are getting quite expensive.

My fiance and I recently bought a 1995 Norris mobile home, and I would like to find a floor plan so that we can figure out things like flooring. I’ve looked everywhere I can think of online, and I really don’t want to sit and draw it out unless I absolutely have to. Is there anywhere I can find a floor plan?

My sister died in 2002. She left her mobile home to her son who is unable to maintain it. He is now 22 years old, no parents, unemployed. His family is trying to help him with decisions. The mobile home needs new flooring, plumbing, and general repairs. Is there an organization or company he can donate to? Thank you for your sincere responses.

We have recently purchached a modular home; approximately 2 weeks after moving in we noticed that the floor is sloaping and then the flooring started to rise on one side. It has come to light that the 2 halves of the home were not leveled during construction. The home is under warrenty; however, it is proving to be difficult to get any straight answers from them as to how this can be corrected. Has anyone encountered this problem and knows how to fix it?

Are there any manufacturers of modular housing that will do all of the exterior work, plumbing, electrical work and stop there so that once it is installed onsite I can put my own flooring in, build my own cabinets, drywall, install light fixtures, basically all of the interior finish work? I would do the tub sinks etc is this possible? where? who? got a website?
modular NOT manufactured- same financing as stick built

We are looking to install laminate, wood, bamboo, tile or other flooring alternative instead of the sheet goods that will come with our new manufactured home. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations? This flooring will cover the marriage line between the two halves of the unit, which is the area that concerns me the most.

I have noticed some prices of modular homes. I was curious as to what basic packages usually include when it comes to appliances, flooring, etc. Is all of this extra? Do any come with all kitchen appliances, but then you can upgrade to better quality appliances??? Also…is it extra to customize carpet color add washer dryer? We are trying to keep it basic, but is it better to get all options included or to buy appliances? Just want an idea of how much more it cost to have all included added onto the base price?
