I want to paint the "wooden" trim that lines the ceiling and doors in my mobile home, but nothing sticks to that stuff! It’s not real wood – I’m not even sure what it is. What kind of paint/primer can I use to make flat wall paint stick to it?

I bought a Doublewide mobile home in an auction, and paid for the moving. When they moved it, they put back together the 2 halves of the house, but said the contract does not include putting together the 2 halves of the carpet on the floor or closing the gaps of the roof and doors. They closed the gaps of doors and roof at no charge after we complained that we were not told this. They said they do not do the carpets. I don’t think it’s hard but I don’t know how to do it and I don’t have much money left. Thank you.

my manufactured home has gaps on the bottoms and tops of every single door. is this for air circulation? if so why do these kinds of houses need to have air circulating? i want to cover them up so when your trying to go to the bathroom little kids can’t just look under the doors. any ideas? thanks.

Every modular home I have been in have these larger than average gaps underneath all of the doors. I assume this gaps serves some purpose, but I cannot imagine what.
