Me and my bf are planning on buying a home next year, we were looking into modular homes (NOT TRAILERS) these types of homes seem to kinda be put together rather fast but they look completely like a normal house and they seem to be beautiful an good priced, I know its along the lines of purchasing the home kit and then paying someone to put it together.
Anyone have a good website that list pros/cons and PRICING.
Thanks

Sometimes, i’ve heard it’s cheaper to have a mortgage and rent space for a mobile home than renting an apt. If i don’t plan on buying a home for a while, until i know where to settle, is buying a mobile home an alternate option? Does this make any sense?

My husband and I are looking into buying a home and are curious about modular homes. Anyone have a price range? I know it can probably vary but we would be looking at something with 3-4 bedrooms and 2 baths. Also, we live in MN. If you have any info, it would greatly appreciated. Every website I check doesn’t list prices and we’re not quite to the stage where we wont to call up sellers. Thanks!

I live in Paducah KY and i was told that building a modular home is cheaper then actually purchasing one. I’m looking to doing either buy or build but if i can get something new for a lesser of a price then im all for it. So i get on the net and i search for general prices and models of homes and nothing. The person who told me this doesnt live in a modular home nor is going to in the future. So my question is a modular home cheaper than buying a home?

My husband and I can’t afford much but it would be nice if we could have a little place we could call our own. So we were looking at buying a double wide. Just a as a little starter home. The thing is we know nothing about how to go about buying a home. So my question is, for a mobile home how much should we have saved up to be as a down payment? How good should our credit be? And how much does it cost to move a double wide?

Thinking about buying a home. It was once a mobile home, but the previous owners added on to it, and then bricked the whole thing up. Even where the skirting goes. We need to know how this is going to work. Cause it is going to have to be jacked up and rebricked from where it had settled. Is this going to mess up the part that was built on. Someone who knows about this, please help, Any information from someone who is in this line of work or knows anything about this will be very helpful.
