We moved into a old mobile home that has no washer or dryer hookups. We have a shed where we can put the appliances but do not have any electric (220) for the dryer and (110) for the washer or drain pipe for the washer.

This particular manufactured home was built in 2000 and is a single wide. Also, do they already come with appliances in them?

I’m leaving for a couple weeks to stay at my parents house and i need to know how to winterize the mobile home i’m staying in. The weather here is very cold and im scared the pipes might break. I have shut off all the water and unplugged all appliances except for the water heater and stove. Is there anything else i should do?

We have been looking into modular homes, the type that comes in as one piece, not 2 pieces or a double wide. (One company we are looking at is Wardcraft.) My question is, has anyone had any experieces with these type of homes? We have been in a new one and it's nice and all but my question is has anyone had any experience in living in one for more than 5-10 years? I was just wondering how energy efficient they are, if there are any problems that have developed after a period of years. I guess I am just wondering all these things because the type and size we are looking at would be as much a stick built home and I don't want to invest that much into a modular home and then in 20 years have major problems. I know stick built homes can also have problems too. We'd have a basement under it for sure. I know they do usually come with the cheapest appliances and carpet possible. Can anyone give me any other suggestions or experiences with them?

I have been looking for a home now for about ten months. I know what I want, but I just can't find it. I can't afford much more than a monthly payment of about 00 so a 0,000 house is about the limit for me right now. I've found a nice chunk of property on a few acres for about ,000. By my way of thinking, if I can get a house on that acreage, I wouldn't have to deal with an old house that isn't up to date (which is what i've been finding in my price range). Does anyone have any experience with modular homes? Tell me your experience, please!
I'm probably looking at about a 1000-1200 sft capecod or ranch style home with a garage and a basement (not a slab). In michigan, where no one seems to have any work right now anyhow… what price do you think iw ould pay for this? Does the price of a modular home include the septic/well? if not, how much does that run? Would the price include things like toilets, cupboards, appliances? What can I expect?
