It appears to be adequate at the moment…though I’d like to know what motherboard you have…with that video card you its possible you have an AGP slot which seriously limits your upgrading…if it is AGP you already have close to the best you can get..but if its PCI express you have upgrade room.
As far as the power supply is concerned…if you have a good brand name power supply like an enermax or anything that is 80plus certified efficient you’re set even if you get a geforce 8800ultra (but thats the limit of your power supply…no more additions after that)

Your next upgrade should be a better video card.

youre the one bragging..kidding..hhehe..its quite good..
you need better video card if you want your PC on top of the line category..you have a 256 card there.. you may want to have 700+mb card..
haha..and since youre running on vista, you need bigger everything.. i mean, for a game to run on xp it needs 512 mb ram, but on a vista, it needs to be 1gig ram..no need to upgrade ram, but you can ad if you want..but its just not the time to upgrade it..
and by the way, dont disregard your power supply wattage.. you will need to have a 550+ watts of power supply.. if youre running on stock 350watt psu, replace it immidiately with a 550..

not to bad you could play crysis on low and med. have the 8800 gt oc 512mb just got crysis yesterday i can run it at medium across the board and get 60 to 75 fps and 30 to 45 fps with half med and half high with 4x AA,(6000+ and 2gigs 667) (fraps) not bragging though , not buy a long shot

RAM and power is ok but video card is week. nVidia 8500 or 8600 GT would be enough to run the better games

The guy who said the 8500 can play games is lying to you.
first, you need a bigger PSU. a good 550w or 600w PSU should get you pretty far. Then, I would get an AMD/ATI 3850. Best bang for the buck, only $160. That will kill your 8600gt and play games much better. Right now it is pretty good though.

Bigger PSU and an 8 series video card. You are using Vista and can utilize the DX-10 graphics. Good luck
