depending on its size, find a home inspector
who has exp with trailers. I lived in one
ages ago; they are kept to similar standards
that houses are…piping, dimensions,
electrical, etc.

Eeeeeeeewwwww, mobile homes, lived in one for a while. Well first off mobile homes have very thin walls, the newer ones that I’ve seen look like they were just thrown together without a care in the world. Check EVERYTHING! And I do mean everything, make sure the toilet is securely bolted to the floor, the window sills are actually nailed in place, check for warps in the floor, and make double sure to have a professional check how you AC and furnace are hooked up, you wouldn’t believe the shabby work there. Oh and by all means, DO NOT believe the people in the office when they tell you that your lot rent won’t go up. Unless you have a signed contract that locks in your payment amount for a certain number of years, it will go up every year, and if you do get a locked in amount, when that time is up they will jack it up with everyone elses.
