It the total cost of buying a modular cheaper then just buying a regular home?
Modular Home Questions July 2nd, 2009I have hear alot of people say that it would be cheaper to buy a modular home. This is for the land and every thing. None of the people that I have heard this from live in or have ever lived in a modular home. Is this ture? If so then on average how much less is it. I’m looking to buy a 3 bedroom 2 bath home. I live in Louisville, KY. I have priced regular homes the cheapst that can find in a nice nieghborhood is about 0,000. Could I get a modular home, including land and all the hookups for gas, electric and sewage plush a bastment of less then 0,000?

Yes….production costs are better controlled for modular construction ( labor ,weather & other variable costs). Check local yellow pages or Google for local modular home availability.. Ask to see a model or visit to a recent installation. All modulars are not equal. So seeing is believing.
