Is it okay to have a front loading washing machine in a mobile home?
Manufactured Homes November 10th, 2009I live in an older mobile home and have found a good deal on a front loading washer and dryer but my mom thinks that because we live in a mobile home that the floors won’t be stable enough to support it. Right now we have a top loading washing machine and it isn’t that great. Just needing some opinions. Thanks.

You must get a stand for a washer ,it will be a good support for that, good luck

I have a front loading machine and live in a mobile home….granted mine is newer. I did have a friend that lived in a older one and he just built a pedestal out of wood and put the washer/dryer on that for extra support. It worked well for him.

I would be careful in a mobile home with front loader machines. The RPM during the spin cycle will shake your entire house, especiallyy if you don’t have your home on a foundation.

I live in a new sub division and most of the people have there washers on the first floor or second floor. There has been a mixed review when asked how these front loaders are doing.
There are certain brands that dont do so well, I have the Whirlpool Duet and its terrible. vibrates in my home office. I have had it leveled several times with no better results, which prompted me to ask my neighbors. As I said some swear by them, and others have had the same experience as me.
