You do not need a replacement.
The line is made of PVC.
This is not a difficult task to replace the fitting.

You will need to cut off the water supply, and you may have to drain the tank if the damage is at the tank connection. Cut off the heater.
Draining is done with a hose attached to the drain fawcett.
Buy some PVC, the same size. You may also have to use the same gauge to fit the valve. These are labled by number. If you can't see a number on the old, you may have to carry a piece with you to buy the correct one.

You then need a "Cleaner", "Adhesive", and a saw or tool for cutting the correct length.
You can get all the directions from a plumbing supply.

Patching may get you a flood some night. I wouldn't.

Well if this is pvc if there is enough of a stub to cut it off and reglue a patch into the system. Should be fairly easy to cut and glue another piece of pvc into it.

If it screw out then take it out and rap teflon tape around it and put it back in to secure the hole. I work at a alignmnt and hydraulics place and thats what they do for things under pressure.
