How possible is it to purchase a mobile home in a different state to where I live and work..?
Manufactured Homes September 1st, 2009I live and work in Pennsylvania and want to purchase a mobile home in South Carolina through a mortgage company , but was told by my real estate agen it is not possible as I do not work in South Carolina .
I was approved for the loan , but was then told because I am not employed in the state I could not , not with a mobile .
Why is this so ?

That makes no sense at all unless he was telling you that you couldn’t qualify for a mortgage because you do not live there. I would communicate with the mortgage company and a real estate agent who knows the rules in SC.
