How many people are permitted in a mobile home under fire code regulations?
Manufactured Homes June 23rd, 2009Im renting a mobile home and they have 5 children and 2 adults. It is only a 2 bedroom mobile home. I live in Pennsylvania. Anyone have any idea on how many are permitted?

That sounds like far too many for a two bedroom mobile home. I do know in Pa that children of different genders cannot share the same bedroom.

It depends on how many smoke detectors you have.

I would worry more about Child Protective Services. They have very strict rules as to how many children & which age groups can share a bedroom. I believe that once the child reaches 12 or 13 they must have their own bedroom. Male and female children over that cutoff age also cannot share a bedroom.

In my area, each person needs 230 square feet of living room. That means your mobile would have tol have 1610 square feet to be compliant for 7 people. You would have to have a double wide, and then some.
