How can I find the valu of a mobile home?
Manufactured Homes September 13th, 2009My fiance and I found a Mobile home for sale in the news paper and I was just wondering if there was a place I could price it and find the value of what it is worth for free. This mobile home is not on any land, it is just the structure it’s self and everything else I’ve come across has the land value added to the home’s price. I just don’t want to get gyped. Does anybody know of a place I can punch in some info and get a value?

you might find them on
http://www.nada.com
or
http://www.kbb.com
keep in mind some places after a certain age can’t be moved, also the economy being the way it is even on land the value won’t be that good.. Another thing to keep in mind is that they depreciate in value no matter what improvements you do to it.. And if you ever want financing it s a real bear to get conventional loans on a mobile.

I think you can ,do a bluebook kind of thing ,find out what year ,model ,manufacturer, and then click search and it will take you to a site that has info on how to get info ,I ‘ not sure about this but I did it with my camper and I found a site that had a bluebook listing good luck…………I think she’s right ^

Honestly I do not think there is an accurate place to find the value of one. It depends on the area. If it is in a park, like you said if it has land.
You will have to remember when pricing them, if you are buying one without land the cost of moving it (anywhere from 5-10k) Then the foundation. Which will depend on a basement or not.
There are so many factors. The actual mobile home, buying a used one, that is not on land, the value is not that high but again would have to compare it to the market in your area. Best bet, talk to a Realtor in the area that is familiar with mobile homes.
