Does a modular home have an axle?
Modular Home Questions February 11th, 2010I was thinking of buying a modular home but i want to know can it be pulled like a mobile home or would i need a home moving company which is a lot more money

The one I had had a temporary axle used when the module was towed to its new site and then removed once the module was up on blocks.. To move the module you requested a rental of an axle from a local distributor of that manufacturer. Thats how that one worked at least.

Here on the Gulf Coast
most mobile home moving (pulling) companies
can handle the job.
Axle rental charges may or may not be extra.
Not sure of your area…

They will pull it like a mobile home, but then drop the axles when it gets in the place it needs to be.

you would need someone to move it for you.you would not be able to just hook it to a truck or a moving van and move it you would have to hire a company to move it for you.
