Do mobile home taxes go down automatically?
Manufactured Homes February 5th, 2010As a mobile home gets older, it gets less valuable, because of depreciation. Do tax assessors usually take that into account, or do you have to appeal your assessment to get it taken into account?

Mobile homes are more like refrigerators than houses. They tend to go down in value every year. Tax assessors do take that into account. They also balance out the supply and demand which can cause mobiles to go up in value.
You would need 3 recent similar sales to win your case. Then your tax would be lowered.
