Can a ventless LP gas stove be used in a mobile home?
Manufactured Homes November 26th, 2009I want to install a propane heating stove in my mobile home. The home is a 1400 sq ft Norris double wide mobile home. Is it necessary to vent the stove?

Unvented means just that — it doesn’t need to be vented. They run about 98 efficient, and as long as there is sufficient air flow (i.e., keeping bedroom doors open, etc.) you will have no problems.
If you are getting an unvented unit (fireplace, stove) that is certified unvented, again, no, you do not need venting. I have a Charmglow I got from Home Depot a couple of years ago and absolutely love it (my sf is just a little less than yours). Do be aware, however, that LP produces a LOT of moisture, and, should not be used 100% of the time or as your primary heating source.

It can, but if you enjoy breathing oxygen i would not reccomend it.

All stoves are supposed to be vented, if you don’t, you might gas yourself or blow your home up.

NO, all flame heaters must be vented

Why do people who simply do not know what they are talking about insist on answering, and giving wrong/bad answers at that?
OK, now that I’ve vented (every pun intended), Suzy Cutes is absolutely correct. I have had an unvented stove for a few months now, and it is great.
UNVENTED, people, means just that! If you people who give bad answers are too stupid to even check the internet, don’t bother answering questions you know nothing about.
