Haven't decided yet which, but I have heard good things about modular houses. My opinion on them used to be horror that a house would go up virtually overnight, now I am really glad that it can be done. I think that even mobil homes are built better than most people think as far as the basic structure goes, but are done cheaply as far as fixtures like sinks, faucets, bathtub. We bought a small one to live in when we were evacutated for Katrina last year. It was in the area effected by Rita and it did pretty well. Just the skirting was messed up and the leveling slightly off. I saw lots of stick built homes that made out much worse than our little trailer did.
